Make Your Own Wooden Earrings

  • the Green Project 2831 Marais St. New Orleans United States (map)

Skill Level: Beginner-Intermediate

Custom wooden earrings can be a wonderful addition to anyone's jewelry collection—and they make great gifts!

We will turn various species of reclaimed wood into beautiful earrings, which can be embellished with other mixed mediums, such as paint and gemstones. You’ll learn how to design, cut out, shape and sand, color and stain, and install hardware on a pair of earrings. In this class, attendees will primarily use hand tools like shears, chisels, whittling knives, and sandpaper as well as a drill press. Each attendee will take home one pair of earrings.
