Specializing in the recovery
& reuse of building materials
since 1994
—
The Green Project’s Salvage Store is 100% donation-based. We rely on donations from homeowners, contractors, renovators, building suppliers, and more to keep historic architectural pieces in New Orleans and provide affordable building materials to residents.
How to Donate Materials
Donations of usable building materials are accepted via drop-off at The Green Project (2831 Marais St.) from 11am-4pm, Wednesday to Saturday. Drop-offs are accepted via the double doors on Press St. by the marble yard. Donation Intake will be closed and we won’t be accepting donations July 16, 2025 through July 26, 2025 for inventory purposes.
A Crew Member must be present to inspect and accept all donations. We are now accepting donation pick-up requests. Please call the store or email donations@thegreenproject.org
Help us keep our prices low—please refrain from dumping!
The Green Project is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit (72-1259769). All donations are tax deductible and donation receipts are available.
