Cedar Planter Box Workshop

  • the Green Project 2831 Marais St. New Orleans, LA 70130 (map)
P1050092-2.jpg

Make you own planter box for herbs, flowers, succulents and more! We’ll use reclaimed cedar siding to build an angled box that can be used indoors or outdoors for your gardening needs. Cedar makes a great material for planter boxes, as it is moisture resistant and will withstand daily waterings and the elements.

Tools used:

  • Miter saw

  • Table saw

  • Nails gun

  • Sander

Each participant will learn how to build and finish their own box and take it home! Skills learned in this workshop will be applicable to many DIY projects you may encounter.
