Recycling turns
materials that would otherwise become waste into valuable
resources. Collecting used bottles, cans, and
newspapers and taking them to the curb or to a collection
facility is just the first in a series of steps that
generates a host of financial, environmental, and social
returns.
The Green Project is dedicated to creatively
promoting and encouraging environmental sustainability in
New Orleans. Operating a warehouse, lumberyard, paint
recycling center, Recycle for the Arts, electronic waste
recycling drop-offs, and environmental education programming
we promote creative reuse in our daily lives and throughout
our communities.
