WELCOME to the green project!
RECYCLING
As the city of New Orleans works towards resuming its normal recycling services, The Green Project is working hard to accept as many of your recyclables as we can.

We FULLY support the efforts of Phoenix Recycling NOLA to bring back curbside recycling! We are also accepting LIMITED household recyclables at The Green Project.

How to Recycle at The Green Project
Unfortunately, we can't accept GLASS or PLASTIC for recycling, and we don't know of anyone, other than Phoenix Recycling, who is taking glass or plastic for recycling in the area.

Newspaper: You may bring newspaper in paper bags. The giant red & green newspaper bin is located next to the building, along the Press Street railroad tracks.

Aluminum: Please rinse and crunch aluminum cans before depositing in the aluminum bin. Aluminum drop-off is located next to the newspaper dumpster along the Press Street tracks.

Cardboard: Please flatten cardboard boxes before depositing. The drop-off is located on the Press Street side of the building, next to the newspaper bin.

Metal scraps: The Green Project can't accept scrap metal, but we'll take your soup cans and other steel type cans. The metal can drop-off is located along the Press Street side of the building.

Electronics: The Green Project can accept personal electronic devices, including computers, stereos, radios, cell phones, printers, monitors, etc. We CANNOT accept microwaves, appliances or televisions. Please drop off your e-waste with a staff member.
