The best way to reduce leftover paint is to purchase only what you need and use the excess for touchups or for primer on another project. If you only have a small amount, you can dry it using an absorbent material like sand or kitty litter and dispose of the dried paint with your regular garbage.

If you are not able to use your leftover paint, donate it to The Green Project! The Green Project will sort your paint, mix the best paints together to provide larger quantities of common colors, dry and dispose of the unusable paint.

The recycled paint produced at The Green Project is sold at affordable prices (typically $4-$5 a gallon) and donated to other nonprofit organizations.

We currently have 7 colors in production: White, Cream, Tan/Brown, Gray, Pink, Blue and Green. We also occasionally have Red, Golden-Yellow and Purple as well!
